Virgina Tech forward Dorian Finney-Smith will seek a transfer after one season with the school, according to a Hampton Roads Daily Press report. The release was requested by Finney-Smith's mother, Desiree Finney, during a meeting with Tom Gabbard, Virginia Tech associate athletic director in charge of basketball, and coach James Johnson. It comes two weeks after Virginia Tech fired coach Seth Greenberg and hired former Tech assistant coach Johnson. An ACC all-freshman team member in 2012, Finney-Smith averaged 6.3 points and 7.0 rebounds as a freshman. He started 30 of 33 games.
