Vin Scully returns to Dodger Stadium to rally fans before Game 5

Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully made his triumphant return to Dodger Stadium on Thursday, and it was just as legendary as you might expect. Prior to the start of Game 5 of the National League Championship Series, Scully rallied the home fans by announcing “it’s time for Dodger baseball” from his suite.

Scully was introduced by former Dodgers Steve Garvey and Eric Karros, both of who threw out first pitches prior to the contest.

While the above video doesn’t feature the greatest audio, you can hear Scully make the announcement in front of the fans. Predictably, the entire stadium went nuts to see and hear him once again.

Scully was, perhaps surprisingly, not at the park for Game 4 on the NLCS. He opted to watch the third presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. It probably wasn’t the worst decision, as the Dodgers got destroyed by the Cubs 10-2 during the contest.

With Scully actually back, there’s no way the Dodgers will disappoint him, right? The team has rallied around the mantra “Win for Vin” this postseason. With the NLCS tied at 2-2, there’s no better time for them come through with that promise.
