Vikings re-signing Everson Griffen

The Minnesota Vikings are making sure at least one of their defensive ends won't leave via free agency.

According to NFL.com, the Vikings have struck a deal with defensive end Everson Griffen that will reportedly pay him a lot of money.

Griffen is certainly a top defensive end the Vikings can build around, given that he's recorded 17.5 sacks the past three years.

With Griffen locked up and Brian Robison getting a deal during the season, it appears the Vikings will part ways with Jared Allen. According to CBSSports.com, Allen is preparing to test free agency and isn't expecting to return to Minnesota.
