Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway was named Thursday to replace injured Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware on the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
Greenway will play in the game for the second consecutive year as an injury replacement. Last year, he subbed for Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears.
The seven-year veteran finished third in the NFL in tackles this season with 148. He led the Vikings in that category for the fifth time in the past seven years and added seven tackles for loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception. His season high was 16 tackles against Green Bay on Dec. 2.
The last Vikings linebacker to go to the Pro Bowl in consecutive years was Scott Studwell in 1987-88.
