The Vikings exercised the fourth-year option for head coach Leslie Frazier for 2014, the team announced Wednesday.
Frazier just completed his second full season as the Vikings’ head coach. Minnesota went from 3-13 in 2011 to 10-6, and earned a wild-card berth in 2012.
Frazier took over as the Vikings’ interim head coach for the final six games in 2010. He originally joined the Vikings' staff in 2007 as their defensive coordinator.
"Coach Frazier has done a remarkable job in building a strong foundation for the Minnesota Vikings and creating a very positive future,” said Vikings owner/president Mark Wilf. “We value his leadership and look forward to working with him for many years to come."
