Update: Martinez (knee) continues to make strides in his rehab without any complications, the Detroit News reports.
Recommendation: Martinez has been swinging a bat for over a month without any issues. He started a running earlier this month and will begin a advance program on Friday. The Tigers continue to err on the side of caution with Martinez, but barring a setback the veteran DH should be in the lineup come Opening Day.
