Troy Daniels had 25 points to lead the Rams (9-3), and he made seven of his 13 three-point attempts. Juvonte Reddic added 20, and Treveon Graham had 16. Briante Weber and Darius Theus each finished with nine assists and five steals.
Longwood (3-10) had three players finish in double figures, led by David Robinson's 18. Tristan Carey contributed 17 points and Jeylani Dublin had 10, but the rest of the Lancers combined for just 11 points on 4-for-18 shooting.
The Rams, which entered the night leading Division I with 133 steals, got an additional 18 against the Lancers. They forced 25 turnovers in all, the seventh time they have forced 20 or more in a game.
VCU won't play again until it meets Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 29, and coach Shaka Smart's team has been impressive in the season's first month. All nine of the Rams' victories this season have been by double digits, and four have been by 30 or more points.
