Vanderbilt's James Franklin continues to make his mark on the recruiting trail, as the second-year Commodores head coach was able to get a verbal pledge Tuesday from Ryan White, a star cornerback who flipped from Louisville.
The Trinity High School (Louisville, KY) product, who is arguably a Top 25-30 cover corner nationally, adds more star power to a Vandy 2013 class that has a chance to be a Top 35 or higher haul on National Signing Day next February.
The 5-9, 178-pounder has very good coverage skills and is able to play well in both man and zone coverages. While he lacks ideal size and speed, he is physical in coverage and is a sound tackler.
White is the 16th verbal commitment in Vandy's 2013 class.
