Camilo scored a fantastic second-half brace, but it wasn't enough to earn his side a win in a wild 2-2 draw against the Portland Timbers at BC Place. Follow GOAL.COM on Twitter
The Whitecaps opened the match positively, but were unable to capitalize on any chances. Just prior to the half, Portland made them pay. Darlington Nagbe collected the ball 30 yards out and unleashed an unstoppable drive that flew into the far corner.
The match would turn into a classic after a wild three-minute stretch which saw three goals scored.
Vancouver grabbed an equalizer in the 77th minute through a fantastic long free kick from Camilo. The Brazilian's 30-yard effort caught a slight deflection off the wall, which took the ball into the bottom corner.
The parity would only last a minute, though, as Will Johnson put the Timbers back in front with a low drive into the far corner from the edge of the box.
Just a minute later and Camilo struck again, and this one was a goal of the season contender. Y.P. Lee crossed a bouncing ball into the box, and the Brazilian hit a perfectly-executed scissor kick which sent the ball flying past Donovan Ricketts.
Unfortunately for Vancouver, a draw helps its playoff cause very little, and the Whitecaps now sit six points out of the final playoff spot with just three games to play.
