Utah State calls off game after player collapses

Utah State postponed Wednesday night's game against BYU after forward Danny Berger collapsed at practice.

Berger was standing by himself during the team's workout Tuesday afternoon in Logan, utah, when he fell to the floor, lost consciousness and stopped breathing, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Athletic trainers revived the junior with CPR and a defibrillator at the gym. He was transported to a local hospital and then to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Utah State said in a news release that Berger was in stable but critical condition. According to The Tribune, Berger's sister, Lauren, posted on Facebook Tuesday night that things were looking up at that time and asked for prayers.

Berger is a starter averaging 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season for the Aggies (4-1).
