Matt Barkley isn't going anywhere, but one of his backups at the quarterback position has decided to leave USC.
Jesse Scroggins plans to transfer from the school this summer, according to head coach Lane Kiffin, who made the announcement Monday on the school's website.
Scroggins never threw a pass in his two seasons in Los Angeles, and he was arguably outplayed this spring by fellow highly touted signal-callers Cody Kessler and Max Wittek.
The loss of Scroggins isn't a serious blow to the team's quarterback depth because next season Max Browne is scheduled to arrive and join Kessler and Wittek in the competition to replace Barkley as the starter. The Washington native is considered the nation's top quarterback in the Class of 2013.
