At least one player on the Philadelphia 76ers is extremely confident in winning the division. Guard Evan Turner has said that he is confident that the team can win out with the remaining schedule. While that isn't likely, there is something to what the guard is saying. Philadelphia does have the kind of schedule that could help them beat out the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks in the Atlantic Division. The 76ers close with a stretch against a lot of teams with losing records. However, the next few games are going to be important as the team sets up that final run. The next six games should tell the tale of the tape for the 76ers in terms of winning the division title. The team has to play well in the upcoming games if they are going to be taken seriously.
March 30 - at Washington Wizards
The 76ers beat up on the Wizards three times earlier in the season. There is no reason to think that it won't happen a fourth time. Washington is one of the worst teams in the league and the 76ers will be rested for this game. Anything short of an impressive win is unacceptable in this one.
March 31 - versus Atlanta Hawks
The 76ers have played well against the Hawks this season. This is a chance to make a statement against a team that is heading to the playoffs. Philadelphia has struggled lately against good teams. It is time to reverse that trend.
April 3 - at Miami Heat
Few people will expect the 76ers to win this game. The Heat have owned Philadelphia in recent memory. Miami isn't unbeatable but the 76ers will need to play perfect basketball to get the win. If they can pull it off it should give the team a world of confidence.
April 4 - versus Toronto Raptors
The Raptors are among the worst teams in the conference but they have been playing better basketball lately. Still, the 76ers have handled them this season and there is no excuse to not beat them at the Wells Fargo Center.
April 7 - versus Orlando Magic
The 76ers beat the Magic the last time they visited the Wells Fargo Center. Orlando seems like a lock to earn the three seed in the Eastern Conference. Outside of the Miami game this will be the toughest one in this stretch. A win would be a major boost for this team.
April 8 - at Boston Celtics
Could the 76ers possibly get a season sweep of their biggest rival? The 76ers easily beat Boston twice already but this is the first time they will face the Celtics on the road. This game should go a long way in determining which team comes out on top in the division race.
