UFC on Fuel TV 4 Predictions: Fan’s Take

Yahoo Contributor Network

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's middleweight picture will become a little bit clearer after Mark Muñoz faces Chris Weidman at "UFC on Fuel TV 4." The event is set for July 11, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. Here are my predictions for the entire UFC on Fuel TV 4 fight card:

Mark Muñoz versus Chris Weidman

Muñoz could have been the one that faced Anderson Silva at UFC 148, but an elbow injury forced him out of his "UFC on Fox 2" number one contender match against Chael Sonnen. Weidman certainly has the tools needed to make it a competitive fight, but I don't think it'll be enough to get past Muñoz at UFC on Fuel TV 4. "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" has faced much tougher opponents than Weidman in the past, and I expect him to emerge victorious. Muñoz wins by decision.

James Te Huna versus Joey Beltran

Te Huna has adjusted well to the bright lights of the UFC, winning three of his first four fights in the promotion via knockout. Beltran on the other hand has struggled a bit lately, losing his last two fights in the UFC. "The Mexicutioner" was released after losing to Lavar Johnson, and he'll obviously want to make the most out of his second chance in the UFC. Unfortunately for Beltran, I don't think he'll be able to get past Te Huna at UFC on Fuel TV 4. Te Huna wins via KO.

T.J. Dillashaw versus Vaughan Lee

After losing his first official fight in the UFC, Dillashaw bounced right back at UFC on Fuel TV 1, defeating Walel Watson via decision. He'll be in for a tougher test against Lee, and I'm not sure his wrestling will be enough to get him past the Brit's submission. Lee wins via submission.

Rafael Dos Anjos versus Anthony Njokuani

Njokuani is the better striker, while Dos Anjos will have a considerable advantage on the ground. However, Dos Anjos only completes 33 percent of his takedowns, and I don't think he'll be able to take "The Assassin" down and keep him there. Njokuani wins via KO.

Remaining fights:

Aaron Simpson defeats Kenny Robertson

Francis Carmont defeats Karlos Vemola

Chris Cariaso defeats Josh Ferguson

Issei Tamura defeats Rapahel Assunção

Andrew Craig defeats Rafael Natal

Marcelo Guimaraes defeats Dan Stittgen

Alex Caceres defeats Damacio Page
