UFC on Fox 5 Medical Suspensions; Alexander Gustafsson Faces Possible Six Months Off
The UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz medical suspensions were released on Wednesday to MMAWeekly.com by the Washington Department of Licensing.
Several UFC on Fox 5 fighters received 60-day suspensions and everyone on the card received a minimum mandatory 7-day suspension, while Alexander Gustafsson faces the possibility of six months out of action.
UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz Medical Suspensions
Benson Henderon: 7 days
Nate Diaz: 45-day suspension with 30 days of no contact, and an indefinite until cleared by a doctor with possible extension of original suspension to 60 days and clearance by an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor.
Alexander Gustafsson: 30 days minimum suspension and indefinite until cleared by a doctor or he faces 180 days.
Marucio “Shogun” Rua: 30 days
Rory MacDonald: 7 days
BJ Penn: 45-day suspension with 30 days of no contact, and indefinite until cleared by a doctor
Matt Brown: 7 days
Mike Swick: 60 days
Yves Edwards: 30-day suspension with 21 days of no contact
Jeremy Stephens: 60-day suspension, and indefinite until cleared by a doctor
Raphael Assuncao: 7 days and indefinite until cleared by an Orthopedic Surgeon
Mike Easton: 7 days
Ramsey Nijem: 30 days, and indefinite until cleared by a doctor
Joe Proctor: 60 days, and indefinite with no contact until cleared by an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor
Daron Cruickshank: 7 days
Henry Martinez: 60 days, and indefinite until cleared by a doctor
Abel Trujillo: 7 days
Marcus LeVesseur: 30 days
Dennis Siver: 7 days
Nam Phan: 45-day suspension with 30 days no contact, and indefinite until cleared by a doctor
Scott Jorgensen: 7 days
John Albert: 7 days
