UFC Fight Night 38 Results: Leonardo Santos and Norman Parke Fight to Majority Draw

Leonardo Santos and Norman Parke fought to a majority draw in their main card fight at UFC Fight Night 38 in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil on Sunday.

Santos and Parke competed to a chorus of boos from the Brazilian crowd for a large portion of the fight, and judges scored the bout 29-27 for Santos, 28-28 and 28-28.

Hometown fighter Santos got the edge in the first round, outstriking Parke with both kicks and punches. Parke sustained a swollen left eye in the opening round, as well as an inadvertent eye poke.

Halfway through the second round, Parke had a point deducted for grabbing his opponent's shorts. Much of the round consisted of the fighters engaging clinches, and Santos did well to avoid getting taken down.

Parke came out aggressive early, throwing kicks and punches while moving forward, but again ended up in an extensive clinch with Santos. The fighters' clinch had to be broken up twice by the referee, but Parke remained the more active fighter when the two were tied up.

Both Santos and Parke record their first career draws with their UFC Fight Night 38 bout.
