In a welterweight battle between Ultimate Fighter winners, Robert Whittaker and Court McGee battered and bloodied one another. The stand-up fight was close and the scorecards were bizarre. One judge scored it 30-27 Whittaker, and another judge 30-27 McGee. The third judge had the fight 29-28 McGee, giving him the victory.
A battle of top 10 lightweights went to decision, with Rafael dos Anjos picking up the unanimous decision over Donald Cerrone. The bout featured some solid stand-up blows by dos Anjos, and the always-tough "Cowboy" keeping the fight close with his brand of active striking.
Carlos Condit put together a spectacular performance with his fourth-round stoppage of Martin Kampmann. "The Hitman" took control early with takedowns, but Condit's striking and cardio were too much for him. This fight had high expectations, and it did not disappoint.
Overall, a very entertaining night of fights. No lackluster fights on the card. Two of the best fights of the year.
