UFC 184 Fighter Bonuses: Ronda Rousey a Bonus No-Brainer

UFC 184 Fighter Bonuses: Ronda Rousey a Bonus No-Brainer

After taking out No. 1 contender Cat Zingano in 14 seconds – a UFC championship record – how could women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey not get one of the UFC 184 post-fight bonuses?

Rest assured, she did.

Rousey pocketed an extra $50,000 for again utilizing her patented armbar to defend her belt.

No one could hold a candle to such a finish, but in lieu of a Fight of the Night bonus, the UFC issued three other individual performance bonuses.

Jake Ellenberger impressed with his first victory in his last four fights, submitting Josh Koscheck with a north-south choke to earn one of those three additional Performance of the Night awards.

Joining Rousey and Ellenberger in the bonus money were Tony Ferguson, who submitted longtime veteran Gleison Tibau, and Tim Means, who TKO’d Dhiego Lima. Both of those finishes came in the first round.
