SAN DIEGO (AP) Jaime Serna scored 22 points and had a blocked shot in the final seconds to lift UC Santa Barbara to a 65-61 win over San Diego on Tuesday night.

Serna scored 14 of his points in the first half to make up for a lack of offense from the Gauchos' two leading scorers, James Nunnally and Orlando Johnson.

Nunnally finished with 14 points and Johnson, scoreless in the first half, had 12 points for UC Santa Barbara (5-2).

Johnny Dee scored 15 points and Darian Norris 14 for San Diego (5-5).

The Toreros trailed 62-59 after Dee's 3-pointer at the 1:55 mark. Johnson made a free throw with 27.9 seconds left before freshman Christopher Anderson scored on a layup to cut the lead to 63-61.

San Diego stole the ball with 13 seconds left. After a timeout, Anderson's layup attempt was blocked by Serna with three seconds left.
