Germany will play the United States on May 29 in a friendly that will match up Jurgen Klinsmann and his former Germany assistant coach Joachim Loew, according to the AP.
Loew took over Germany when Klinsmann left the national team after finishing in third place at the 2006 World Cup. Klinsmann was hired by the U.S. in July 2011.
It is unknown where the game will be played in the United States, but Germany is set for a second friendly against an unnamed opponent in America on June 2.
The Americans will compete in the CONCACAF Hexagonal round next year for a spot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. They have three qualifying games scheduled for June at home against Jamaica, Honduras and Panama.
