    U.S. forward Boyd scores in thrilling draw

    U.S. international forward Terrence Boyd added to his encouraging Austrian Bundesliga scoring record, netting the first of Rapid Vienna's three equalizers in a 3-3 draw with Red Bull Salzburg for his 10th league goal of the season (14 in all competitions).

    Slovenia internation Kevin Kampl gave the home side a lead in the first minute, an advantage that lasted the whole first period, but Boyd rose to head home a looping cross past Alexander Walke a few minutes past the restart.

    It was to be the first equalizer of a trio for the capital club. Guido Bergstaller leveled again in the 82nd minute after a Jonathan Soriano penalty, and following a Martin Hinteregger goal that gave the hosts a late advantage, Marcel Sabitzer came up with a 90th-minute equalizer to steal a point for Die Gruen-Weissen.
