Twins 3B Plouffe returns to DL

Minnesota Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe was injured again Thursday night before he could even play in his first game since coming off the disabled list.

In warmups prior to Thursday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Plouffe suffered a strained calf and was placed on the 15-day DL. The Twins had just activated Plouffe after he passed a battery of tests and was cleared to return from a seven-day stay on the concussion disabled list.

The Twins took Plouffe out of the lineup and recalled infielder Chris Colabello, who had just been sent back to Triple-A, to replace him on the roster.

In 37 games this season, Plouffe is hitting .254 with four home runs and 17 RBI.
