Welcome to the COVER32/Ravens Training Camp News Roundup, our consistent report on all things Baltimore Ravens during training camp. The Baltimore Ravens began Full Contact padded practices on Saturday morning as training camp continues to progress. Once again the veterans are leading the way as quarterback Joe Flacco and Tight End Dennis Pitta both continue their comeback from major injuries. Both players are making steady progress toward their ultimate goal of being in the starting lineup for week one. Tight end Dennis Pitta made it very clear in a recent conversation with ESPN’s Jamison Hensley that he wants his starting job back.
“I don’t feel like I’ve lost a step,” Pitta said after Friday’s practice. “I don’t feel like I’m any slower or do anything different than I did a couple of years ago, in my opinion. That’s my goal. I want to be the lead guy.”
