Trade deadline extended again due to storm

Several media outlets are reporting that the NFL has announced it is moving its trade deadline a second time to Thursday at 4 p.m. ET because of Hurricane Sandy.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello earlier confirmed to NFL.com that the move was being discussed.

Several teams closed their operations Monday because of the storm. The league office is also closed. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the league will shut down Tuesday as well.

The NFL extended the original deadline two weeks ago to Tuesday to encourage more trade talks. With the hurricane complicating matters, the extension will give teams even more time to contemplate deals.
