BETHESDA, Md. — When Tiger Woods won the AT&T National in 2009, he was dominant on the par 5s.
Friday, he took a step in that direction with a 48-footer for eagle on the par-5 16th — his seventh hole of the round — to get to 2 under on the day and 1 under on the tournament.
Woods is now just four shots off the lead, though don’t expect many low numbers.
Congressional is continuing to play difficult on what is a very hot and humid day — temperatures are expected to reach near 100 degrees.
