But Ryan Moore, playing in the afternoon wave, is making his own noise.
Moore is 6 under through 10 holes, having shot a front-nine bogey-free 30 at TPC Boston. He’s now on the back nine, and with eight holes to play, has a shot at the course record of 61.
Moore is not the only hot golfer in the afternoon. Seung-Yul Noh is 5 under through 10 holes.
John Senden and Louis Oosthuizen are in the clubhouse after shooting 5-under 66s. Ian Poulter, Luke Donald, Dustin Johnson, rookie Jonas Blixt and past Deutsche Bank champion Charley Hoffman are in with 67s.
Defending champion Webb Simpson shot a 69, as did Steve Stricker, Adam Scott and Brandt Snedeker. Snedeker is second in FedExCup points to Nick Watney, who opened with a 1-over 73.
The trio of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler have just made the turn. Mickelson and Els are 1 under; Fowler is 2 over.
