FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – It’s late in the second round of The Barclays. That means a few players will soon have their FedExCup Playoffs come to an end.
Any player who entered this week between 101-125 in FedExCup points and fails to make the cut at The Barclays will be officially eliminated from the Playoffs.
With the projected cut line currently at 1 over, some of those players who have already finished their second rounds and are well outside the cutline include:
Boo Weekley – Came into the week ranked 123rd in points and shot 78-76 to leave him at 12 over
Kevin Chappell – Came into the week ranked 112th and shot 72-77 to leave him at 7 over
Davis Love III – The U.S. Ryder Cup captain came into the week ranked 114th and shot 76-72 to leave him at 6 over
Jason Bohn – Came into the week ranked 125th and had to withdraw with a back injury prior to the second round
Two other players who have finished their rounds and currently sit outside the projected cut line include Chad Campbell (105th) who is at 2 over and Heath Slocum (124th) who is at 3 over. The only thing they can do now is hope the cutline falls back before the end of the day.
