Tour Report: With this victory: Zach Johnson

Zach Johnson returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since 2010 when he claimed the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial — his second win at this event. With this victory, Johnson:

• Collects 500 FedExCup points and moves from No. 18 to No. 3 in the latest standings. He trails leader Jason Dufner by 349 points.

• Extends his fully-exempt status through the 2016 season.

• Earns his fourth victory in the Lone Star State. Johnson’s first three victories came in the state of Georgia. Now he’s won four of his last five in Texas.

• Records multiple victories at his third tournament: 2004/2007 AT&T Classic, 2008/2009 Valero Texas Open and 2010/2012 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

• Becomes the fourth-consecutive come-from-behind winner at Colonial, and the fifth since 2001. He joins Sergio Garcia (2001), Steve Stricker (2009), Zach Johnson (2010) and David Toms (2011).

• Loses his streak of 15 consecutive rounds in the 60s at Colonial with his final-round 72.

This victory is Johnson’s 8th in 226 career starts on the PGA TOUR. Here’s a list of all of Johnson’s TOUR victories:
