It will represent the first of several Jack Nicklaus trophies in the Northern Irishman’s future. — John Swantek, host, On the Tee

• McIlroy. There is no way to top the Northern Irishman’s season. He won his second major championship by eight strokes and followed that with back-to-back wins in the FedExCup Playoffs. You can also throw in his impressive victory at The Honda Classic. There just wasn’t another player to put together performances like those. — Amanda Balionis, host, PGA TOUR Today

• You’ve heard about the wins and the money already. Here’s another way to put into words just how dominant McIlroy was this year: He finished in the top 10 in 63 percent of his starts in 2012. The next closest was 47 percent (Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods). — D.J. Piehowski, Social Media Coordinator

• McIlroy — Those back-to-back Playoffs wins, just weeks after his second major crown, brought a new level of energy to the FedExCup Playoffs. Plus, he held off the best Tiger could throw at him earlier in the season and got the win at The Honda Classic to claim his rightful spot atop the Official World Golf Rankings. — Lauren Teague, Social Media Manager
