The 532-yard par-5 seventh at Disney’s Palm course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., was the fourth easiest hole on the PGA TOUR in 2011, as it played to a stroke average of 0.672 under par.
If the players post similar numbers in the first two rounds of this week’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, the seventh hole will once again be among the easiest on TOUR.
Going into the 2012 season finale, just four holes have lower stroke averages than the seventh hole’s average from last year. Of the 846 holes played on TOUR this year, the opening hole at the TPC Blue Monster at Doral has been the most forgiving, playing to a stroke average of 0.840 under par during the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship in March.
The Palm course will be one of two courses played during the first two rounds of this week’s event. Disney’s Magnolia course is the primary course and will be played all four days.
