FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Vijay Singh, the 2008 FedExCup champion, shot a bogey-free 4-under 67 in Friday’s second round to move into a tie for the lead at The Barclays.
Singh is 7 under for the tournament, tied with first-round leader Padraig Harrington, who begins his second round at 12:22 p.m. ET.
Rickie Fowler, John Senden and Bob Estes also made strong moves in the morning wave. Fowler is 2 under for his round with one hole to play; Senden is 3 under with one hole left; and Estes is 4 under with five holes left. Each player is 6 under for the tournament.
Henrik Stenson is also having a productive day. He’s 5 under on his round with five holes left and is 3 under for the tournament.
Troy Kelly is also 5 under for the day and 2 under for the tournament. Kelly started this event ranked 118th in FedExCup points but is currently projected at 99, which would get him into next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship.
The projected cut line remains at even par.
