2013 PREVIEW: In order to put himself in contention more frequently, J.J. Henry will likely be putting some extra time in on the practice green during the offseason. He ranks 63rd in driving accuracy and 22nd in GIR but 108th in strokes-gained putting and 169th in both eagles and birdie average.
2012 DEFINING MOMENT: A five-year, 177-event victory drought ended at the Reno-Tahoe Open. He scored 43 points in the Modified Stableford format to edge Alexandre Rocha by one. He fueled the win with three eagles — which equalled his total for the year. –- Helen Ross, PGATOUR.COM
ALBERS’ QUICK TAKE: I watched as J.J. let the HP Byron Nelson Championship slip away with a tough finish on Sunday. He slipped to T3rd, but used that experience for a better ending at the Reno-Tahoe open, where he won. I say any time you secure a spot at the Hyundai; you’ve had a good year. J.J. is a very good iron player, ranking 22nd in greens hit.– Fred Albers, SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio
BOLTON’S FANTASY OUTLOOK: He banked $1.297 million in 2012, his second-highest total in 12 seasons, so cross him off your list of options in salary games. Otherwise, plug him in for 18-20 cuts made and upwards of 28 starts. Just remain patient for his putter to heat up as he’ll give himself more birdie opportunities than most of his peers. — Rob Bolton, PGATOUR.COM Fantasy expert
