Tour Report: Mid-morning leaderboard update

NORTON, Mass. — D.A. Points, who is fighting for another week in the FedExCup Playoffs, is among four players tied for the lead at the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Points, who entered the week 72nd — two spots shy of advancing to next week’s BMW Championship, is tied at 3 under with Scott Stallings, John Senden and Adam Scott. Stallings came to TPC Boston ranked 61st, Senden was 32nd and Scott was 34th.

Tiger Woods heads a group of six players tied at 2 under. Among the others in that group are Luke Donald, Dustin Johnson and Lee Westwood, as well as J.J. Henry, who is on the outside looking in at 73rd. Henry was born in Fairfield, Conn., which is about two-and-a-half hours away from Norton.

Defending champion Webb Simpson is among 13 players tied at 1 under. Also in that group is Steve Stricker, who won the Deutsche Bank championship in 2009 and has two other top-10s at TPC Boston since the tournament became part of the FedExCup Playoffs.

The current FedExCup leader, Nick Watney, who won The Barclays on Sunday, is 1 over after a bogey on his third hole.
