BETHESDA, Md. — Brendon de Jonge has yet to win on the PGA TOUR, but he is trending in the right direction.

Coming off three rounds in the mid-60s at last week’s Travelers Championship, where de Jonge tied for eighth, he’s kept the momentum going at Congressional Country Club.

De Jonge shot a 2-under 69 Friday at the AT&T National, where he has the early clubhouse lead at 5 under.

Joining him atop the leaderboard is Jimmy Walker, who also shot 69 Friday.

Three others — Pat Perez, Seung-Yul Noh and Rod Pampling — are another stroke back halfway through the tournament. Robert Garrigus is also at 4 under with three holes left in his round.

Tiger Woods, meanwhile, is hovering just outside the top 10 at 2 under on the day and 1 under for the week. He has a birdie, an eagle and one bogey on the day with two holes left.
