Tour Report: De Jonge moves ahead early

October 6, 2012

The third round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is in full swing and it’s Brendon de Jonge who has moved atop the leaderboard in the early stages. With two birdies in his first four holes, de Jonge is at 16 under, one clear of overnight co-leader Jonas Blixt.

As expected, there are plenty of low numbers out there today. Ryan Palmer currently has the day’s low score at 5 under through nine holes. He’s 10 under for the week and has moved into an eighth-place tie.

Four others — Edward Loar, Bill Lunde, Michael Thompson and Jason Day — are currently four shots to the good in their rounds.
