Two more sites in Florida and one in California began play in the second stage of q-school on Wednesday.

Billy Hurley, who finished $165 out of the 150th spot on the money list, is tied for fourth and two behind leader Brian Duncan after a 67 in the opening round at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla.

Robert Karlsson is another stroke back, while Sam Saunders, Derek Lamely and Ben Martin are among a large group at 3 under.

At Hombre Golf Club in Panama City, Fla., Fabian Gomez leads by one after a 63 in the opening round. Chad Collins is a shot back, while Scott Sterling and Nate McCoy are two off the pace.

D.J. Brigman and Josh Broadaway are among a group of four players at 5 under. Erik Compton was one of 11 players at 3 under.

Danny Lee took the early lead in Murrieta, Calif., after a 65 at Bear Creek Golf Club.

At Plantation (Fla.) Preserve Golf Course & Club, Rob Oppenheim maintained his lead after a 67 to get to 12 under through two rounds.

Among a few notables in contention at the halfway mark are Kris Blanks, who shot 70 to enter the final two rounds at 9 under, and Jamie Lovemark, who is 7 under after a 67.

Hank Kuehne had a 10-shot turnaround after a 64 Wednesday to move to 4 under.

At TPC Crag Ranch in McKinney, Texas, Scott Gutschewski leads at 11 under. Scott Dunlap is a shot back, while Kyle Reifers and Matt Jones are 9 under.

Jeff Klauk, who returned to action earlier this year after undergoing treatment for epilepsy, is alone in fifth at 8 under.

Meanwhile, Kevin Kisner is one of four players one shot off the lead at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas.

Patrick Reed is another stroke back and alone in seventh, while Joe Durant is one of three players tied for eighth.
