Tour Report: Featured Groups for first two rounds

Tee times are now available for the first round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Here’s a look at some of the featured groups for the opening event of the Fall Series.

Kevin Na, Davis Love III, Jason Day: With his Ryder Cup duties behind him, Davis Love III can resume playing. He hasn’t teed it up since The Barclays and missed the cut in three of his last four starts, though did tie for 10th in the one cut he did make, at the Wyndham Championship. Na, meanwhile, is the defending champion in Las Vegas.

Charley Hoffman, Nick Watney, Ryan Moore: All three have a connection to Las Vegas — Charley Hoffman and Nick Watney live there, while Ryan Moore played collegiately at UNLV. Watney also shared the lead going into the final round of this event last year, while Moore has three top 25s in six starts.

Scott Stallings, Kyle Stanley, Johnson Wagner: What does this trio have in common? All were winners on the PGA TOUR in 2012.

John Huh, Robert Garrigus, Scott Piercy: All three finished in the top 30 in the FedExCup standings this season and will try to add to what’s been an already successful season. Huh was the lone rookie on TOUR among the top 30.
