Tottenham Hotspur is making a return voyage to the United States.
The English Premier League side announced Monday it will travel to the USA for preseason preparations next summer, facing the Seattle Sounders on July 19 at CenturyLink Field and the Chicago Fire on July 26 at Toyota Park.
It is the third U.S. tour in five years for Tottenham. The trip to face the Sounders will see Seattle midfielder Clint Dempsey facing his old club after the U.S. national team captain made 43 appearances and scored 12 goals for Tottenham in the 2012-13 season.
"The MLS opposition we face will be in the middle of their seasons and playing in their home stadiums, so we can expect strong tests from both Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire," Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood said in a news release. "This can only help as we plan for the new season. The club is rightfully proud of its large and growing fan base in the States and we look forward to meeting with as many of our loyal fans from across the country as we can."
Tottenham, at 10-5-4, sits seventh in the Premier League at the season's midway point.
