With March Madness around the corner, we've created another way to get you ready for NCAA tournament bracket fun. Our Best TV Characters of the 2000s features four regions, each one including characters seeded Nos. 1-16.

Aside from No. 1 Jack Bauer, second-round voting was unkind to the top 4 seeds from the Law Enforcement, Courts and Politics region in our Best TV Characters of the 2000s tournament. Here's the breakdown:

No. 1 Jack Bauer (24) coasted to victory over No. 8 Rust Cohle (True Detective) with 72 percent of the votes.

Bauer's Sweet 16 matchup is against No. 12 Francis Underwood (House of Cards), who received 56 percent of the votes against No. 4 Catherine Willows (CSI).

No. 10 Raylan Givens (Justified) comfortably advanced to the third round by collecting 60 percent of the votes against No. 2 Olivia Benson (Law & Order: SVU).

No. 6 Vic Mackie (The Shield) registered the third upset of the region in this round, receiving 62 percent of the votes against No. 3 Carrie Mathison (Homeland) to set up the Sweet 16 affair against Givens.

Elsewhere in our bracket, none of the top 5 seeds advanced past the second round in Comedy while Gregory House has steamrolled his first two opponents in "Medics". Voting is ongoing in "Villains". The Sweet 16 begins Monday and the tourney concludes with the announcement of the winner on March 12.
