It is at the point in the season when it no longer matters how it happens--a win is a win.
The Boston Bruins snapped their four-game losing streak and regained their position (barely) atop the Northeast Division. In the Eastern Conference, that one point is the difference between the No. 2 spot and the No. 7 sport in the playoffs.
Talk about pressure!
"It's big, especially at this time of the year. Everybody's scrambling for points, everybody's trying to establish position in the playoffs, in the standings, going into the playoffs, so every point is important." Stated Zdeno Chara after the Bruins shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
The Bruins will have a chance to add two more points to their season total when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. Thankfully they will do so on home ice and have defeated the Leafs in all five of their previous meeting this season. With just a handful of games remaining in the regular season, every win counts.
