Napoli sports director Riccardo Bigon admits his club faces a difficult task in toppling Juventus from the top of the Serie A table.
"It will be hard if Juventus continue to win when they don't play very well," Bigon told Gazetta dello Sport, referring to Juve's recent triumphs. "We are sure that Napoli will fire until the end of the season for the first, second or third position."
Scudetto-holding Juventus, which faces Bologna on Wednesday at home, is currently enjoying a three-point lead over Napoli in Serie A on the strength of a 2-0 victory over the Partenopei on Oct. 20.
The Old Lady most recently grabbed a controversial 1-0 win over Catania at the Angelo Massimino on Sunday, after which the losing side's president expressed his anger over Gonzalo Bergessio's disallowed strike.
"Referees said that every time you go away from the technical area you will be booked, but in Catania this situation was different," Bigon added.
