Top Kids Games and Apps to Encourage Healthy Eating and Physical Activity

Obesity is a huge problem in the United States for many adults. Unfortunately, it is also becoming a large problem with children and adolescents. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reports that the number of overweight adolescents has tripled since 1980.

Because of these numbers, it is becoming more and more important that we, as parents, make sure that we are teaching our children about healthy eating, how to make good food choices and the importance of physical activity. In addition to being role models to our children in terms of our own food choices and exercise routines, there are many games and apps designed to make learning fun.

Well, GeoPalz has the perfect answer for the child that wants to measure his or her steps. GeoPalz provides cute and fun animal or sport shaped pedometers designed just for kids. But, they offer so much more than that. Once your child has purchased a GeoPalz, they can register at the website and begin walking for prizes. They simply log in their steps and travel along the maps to earn prizes.
