The middle of the season can be even bigger than the draft. Now is the time that savvy owners will tweak their teams to get ready for the stretch run. This is most easily done by watching the injury reports closely; to know which waiver-wire players will see a significant increase in value. This week's top picks for waiver-wire wonders are the following (these are players that are currently owned in less than 50% of standard Yahoo! leagues):

1) Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts: He has been so impressive that the Jaguars have traded Mike Thomas to allow him to stay on the field.

2) Green Bay Packers RB James Starks: Alex Green is just not getting it done and Starks is getting healthy on a great offense.

3) San Francisco 49ers RB Kendall Hunter: He is putting up numbers now, just think if Frank Gore goes down.

4) San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss: Showing glimpses of his old self. Enough said.

5) New York Jets QB Tim Tebow: No waiver-wire quarterback has more upside.
