Alabama and Oregon remained the top two teams in this week's two major polls, but the rest of the top five was shaken for the second consecutive week. Florida moved up to No. 3 in the Associated Press media poll, followed by No. 4 Kansas State and No. 5 Notre Dame in the poll released Sunday. Kansas State is No. 3 in the USA Today coaches poll, with Florida fourth and Notre Dame fifth. The rest of the AP top 10 includes LSU, Ohio State, Oregon State, South Carolina and Oklahoma. Though it's No. 8 in the AP poll, Oregon State is 11th in the coaches poll, with USC ninth and Florida State 10th. Alabama received all the first-place votes in both polls after defeating Missouri 42-10. The biggest drops were experienced by West Virginia, which fell from No. 5 to No. 17 in the AP poll and to No. 15 in the USA Today poll after losing to Texas Tech, and by Texas, which stumbled from No. 15 to out of the Top 25 in both polls. Unbeaten Ohio University entered the AP poll at No. 25, but remains unranked in the coaches poll.
