TNA Sacrifice
With Eric Bischoff off of television and Hulk Hogan flexing (what's left of) his muscles as the GM of Impact Wrestling, the TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view could kick start interesting new storylines. In fact, the Sacrifice lineup features some different matchups than we've been seeing at recent TNA pay-per-views. Take a closer look at my predictions for TNA Sacrifice 2012.
Brooke Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim (Knockouts Championship)
TNA has gone to extraordinary lengths to make its fans believe that Brooke Tessmacher is a worthy opponent for Gail Kim at Sacrifice. I'm not buying it. Gail Kim is perhaps the best technical female wrestler in the world today and Brooke Tessmacher used to be Eric Bischoff's "assistant" in TNA. This Sacrifice match is easy to predict.
Prediction: Gail Kim defeats Brooke Tessmacher
Robbie E vs. Robbie T vs. Devon (Television Championship)
My statement about new TNA storylines starting at Sacrifice does not apply to this match. Devon is completely out of the leagues of Robbie E and Robbie T. I don't know what TNA thinks it's gaining by this ridiculous rivalry, but it's not helping any of these wrestlers. I predict Devon will bury the Robbies so he can move on to better TNA competition.
Prediction: Devon defeats Robbie E and Robbie T
Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries
This TNA Sacrifice match is difficult to predict. It seems hard to believe that Bully Ray could lose to a man half his size at Sacrifice. But Austin Aries is an amazing wrestler who is incredibly over with TNA fans right now. If TNA is serious about giving its young stars a push, then I'll give Austin Aries the edge over Bully Ray at Sacrifice.
Prediction: Austin Aries defeats Bully Ray
Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson
With Mr. Anderson being away from TNA for so long, he's probably in line for a major push. Although Jeff Hardy has been behaving himself lately, I'm sure TNA is still reluctant to make him a serious contender any time soon. If Mr. Anderson can defeat Jeff Hardy at TNA Sacrifice, he could begin a program as the next world title contender.
Prediction: Mr. Anderson defeats Jeff Hardy
Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles
This is the TNA Sacrifice match I'm most excited to see. Just on wrestling alone, Angle and Styles could steal the show. However, both also look to be in the middle of face and heel turns which could make for an exciting dynamic in the ring. Now that Styles' secret has been revealed, I predict he will turn heel and cheat to defeat Angle at Sacrifice.
Prediction: AJ Styles defeats Kurt Angle
Daniels and Kazarian vs. Magnus and Samoa Joe (Tag Team Championship)
Now that they've revealed AJ Styles' secret, it's time for Daniels and Kazarian to move on to a different TNA program. Magnus and Samoa Joe have been surprisingly good as Tag Team Champions, but I think it's time for a change. I know it would be an upset, but I predict Sacrifice will witness the coronation of new Tag Team Champions.
Prediction: Daniels and Kazarian defeat Magnus and Samoa Joe
Rob Van Dam vs. Bobby Roode (World Heavyweight Championship)
The fact that it's now a ladder match is supposed to make RVD the favorite in this World Heavyweight Championship match at Sacrifice. However, I'll take the wrestler in his mid-30s over the wrestler in his early-40s in a ladder match any day. I predict Bobby Roode will in fact become the longest reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion ever.
Prediction: Bobby Roode defeats Rob Van Dam
