Update: The Lions have released Young, the team's official site reports.
Recommendation: Young, who ended the season on injured reserve because of tendinitis in his knee, was selected 44th overall by the Lions in the 2011 NFL Draft. While the slightly built, but quick Boise State product displayed some promise in his two-year stint with the team, ultimately his attitude and approach rubbed the team the wrong way and he'll get a much-needed chance to rebuild his image/career elsewhere.
