The Tennessee Titans placed tight end Delanie Walker on the physically unable to perform list after recent arthroscopic knee surgery.
Titans wide receiver Kevin Walter is also on the PUP list after arthroscopic back surgery to fix a disk problem.
Walker was injured early in organized team activities but participated in the June minicamp. The Titans decided to address the issue during the summer with surgery to avoid lingering problems with the knee during the season.
Walker is in his first season with the Titans after signing as a free agent. He spent the first six seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers. Last year, Walker had 21 receptions for 344 yards and three touchdowns.
Titans coach Mike Munchak expects Walker to return to practice in a few weeks and Walter to miss up to a month.
"He'll definitely at some point play in the preseason," Munchak said of Walker.
