Titans Suffer 16-11 Defeat Against Jets
Nate Washington had a big day, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Titans against the Jets, 16-11, at home.
Charlie Whitehurst went 10 out of 24 for 203 yards passing, no interceptions and no scores. For the Jets, Geno Smith wound up 16 for 28 with 179 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions.
Shonn Greene was less than impressive rushing for 50 yards on 16 attempts in addition to one reception for 13 yards. Washington snagged six passes for 102 yards.
The Tennessee defense gave up 114 yards rushing and 179 passing. They sacked Smith three times.
Finally, Ryan Succop was perfect, connecting on all three of his field goal attempts.
Jets wide receiver Eric Decker churned out 100 receiving yards.
The Titans travel to Jacksonville next week to meet the Jaguars (2-12) while the Jets are at home to take on the Patriots (11-3).
