Titans sign Pollard

Free-agent safety Bernard Pollard agreed to a contract with the Tennessee Titans, one day after he was released by the Baltimore Ravens.

"I've agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Titans," Pollard told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Pollard, 28, also signs one day after the Ravens' other starting safety, Ed Reed, inked a deal with the Houston Texans. He is the fifth starter from Baltimore's 2012 defense that won't return next season. In addition to Pollard and Reed, inside linebackers Ray Lewis retired, Dannell Ellerbe went to Miami and Paul Kruger headed to Cleveland.

Pollard finished the 2012 Super Bowl-winning season with a team-leading 98 tackles, two sacks, one interception and six pass breakups.

Pollard started every game he played for Baltimore last season, 13 in the regular season and four more in the postseason.
