The safety position was a mess for the Tennessee Titans last season. And the locker room lacked experience and leadership.
The Titans believe they have taken a step toward solving both, agreeing to a two-year deal with former Buffalo Bills safety George Wilson.
Wilson should slide right in as the Titans starting strong safety along side free safety Michael Griffin and should fill the need in the leadership department as well.
Perhaps more important than that, Wilson has been a team captain in Buffalo for each of the past five seasons and is known as a great locker room leader - something that has been in short supply for a young Titans team the past couple of seasons.
