The Tennessee defense had no answer for Chris Johnson, but it would prove not enough to avoid a surprisingly close loss for the Titans against the Colts, 30-27, at home.
Ryan Fitzpatrick finished 22 for 28 with 222 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Andrew Luck finished 23 for 36 with 232 yards passing, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions for the Colts.
Johnson was a bright spot for the Titans, running for 86 yards on 17 carries while adding two touchdowns. In the first quarter, he made the most of an opening for a 30-yard score. Delanie Walker was a highlight, catching 10 passes for 91 yards with a score.
The Tennessee defense allowed 137 yards rushing and 232 passing. They tackled Luck for a sack.
Colts tight end Coby Fleener had a big game, putting up 107 receiving yards. Running back Donald Brown was also solid with 80 rushing yards, 14 receiving and two touchdowns.
